Corrections

If something on the site is wrong — a bird that does not occur in your state, a landmark in the wrong place, a bloom time that is a month off — please tell us. Include the page and what you expected instead. We publish what we change in the corrections page, which also explains what we do with a report.

How the reference is built

Questions about where a number comes from are usually answered on the methodology page, which names every dataset and says plainly which figures are measured and which are modeled.

What we cannot help with

We are a seasonal reference, not an identification service or an advice line. We cannot identify a bird or plant from a photo, and nothing on this site is a safety, edibility, or medical claim. For those, your state Cooperative Extension, Native Plant Society, or Audubon chapter is the right place — all linked from the methodology page.
