About it
What you get
Of the 232 hunts, 83 are about birds, 32 about the garden and 26 about flowers, and the rest are about trees, the sky, butterflies and the market. Each week's page has a bird or flower from the state's list drawn on it and a box to draw the best find, and 4 season pages carry an explorer badge to color. The cover shows the Lark Bunting, Colorado's state bird. Eight activity pages, from a nature map to four journal pages, a note for grown-ups and a Nature Explorer certificate round out the year. It is a full-color paperback, 8.5 by 11 inches, printed to order. The illustrations were made with AI tools, and each was checked against its species' field or botanical marks before printing.
