About it
What you get
Of the 233 hunts, 73 are about birds, 32 about the garden and 29 about butterflies, and the rest are about trees, flowers, the sky and the market. Each week's page has a bird or flower from the state's list drawn on it and a box to draw the best find, and 4 season pages carry an explorer badge to color. The cover shows the Northern Mockingbird, Florida's state bird. Eight activity pages, from a nature map to four journal pages, a note for grown-ups and a Nature Explorer certificate round out the year. It is a full-color paperback, 8.5 by 11 inches, printed to order. The illustrations were made with AI tools, and each was checked against its species' field or botanical marks before printing.
