About it
What you get
Of the 243 hunts, 61 are about birds, 59 about the garden and 43 about the sky, and the rest are about flowers, the market, butterflies and trees. Each week's page has a bird or flower from the state's list drawn on it and a box to draw the best find, and 4 season pages carry an explorer badge to color. The cover shows the Northern Mockingbird, Texas's state bird, and the Texas Bluebonnet, its state flower. Eight activity pages, from a nature map to four journal pages, and a Nature Explorer certificate round out the year. It is a full-color paperback, 8.5 by 11 inches, printed to order. The illustrations were made with AI tools, and each was checked against its species' field or botanical marks before printing.
